Wrap your way to savings with Stretch Wrappers

When employees manually wrap pallets, it's difficult to create a tight enough wrap to secure the products on the pallet and far more stretch wrap is used then when the load is wrapped with a stretch wrapper. Hand wrapping is also time consuming and poses a safety hazard due to repetitive bending, stretching, and circling, resulting in back injuries and dizziness.

 

On the receiving end, when unloading the hand-wrapped pallets from a truck, there is nothing more aggravating than encountering products that have been damaged or have fallen off their pallet due to loose stretch wrapping. When items that were supposed to be secure are strewn inside the trailer, product damage occurs, and it not only takes more time for workers to unload the truck, it could present a safety hazard as well.

 

When using stretch wrapper packaging equipment to secure your product, it saves you time and energy, cuts back on employee injuries and material costs, and reduces product damage. It also gives the added benefit of making it easy for your end-user to receive a fully secured load. There are a variety of stretch wrappers available to choose from depending on your specific application. Depending on the model and type you choose, some of these options include:

 

Equipment Design – stretch wrappers can be semi-automatic or automatic, low or high profile, compatible with an existing conveyor belt or platform, or portable, manual systems for wrapping anywhere.

Home Sensor – begins and ends wrapping the pallet in the same place.

PLC Controls – for switching between automatic and semi-automatic wrapping; depending on the equipment purchased, control panel swivels up to 360 degrees and can be touch screen to simplify use.

Top & Bottom Wrap Counters – for pallet tightness underneath and on top of products

Various Wrapping Modes – up and down, up only, spiral, and reset

Automatic Film Cut – automatically cuts the film at the end of the wrap cycle for a complete wrap job, start to finish

Film Feed – fast and unobstructed film feed makes wrapping easy, can be angled, side mounted, and/or free standing

Pre-Stretch Gears – allow you to control the tightness and speed of the stretch wrap

Film Feed Force – adjustable based on fragile (light stretch) or heavy duty (tight stretch) pallet loads

Warning Signals – strobe lights, alarms signify any problems

Rotation – depending on the equipment, systems come with a rotating arm, turntable, or overhead for easy and secured pallet wrapping; stretch wrap carriage moves up and down to wrap entire pallet

Equipment Size – pallets can be in many different heights and widths and still be wrapped tightly and securely; you can even use customized stretch wrappers for cabinets

Wrap – equipment designs either work with plastic stretch wrap only, foam and stretch wrap together, or protective padding underneath with plastic wrap on top
